I have always been intrigued by the complaints pertaining to the depiction of natives living in European colonies as lazy, especially in the tropics. What am i supposed to think when I arrive at work hours before anyone else, and see the managers lock themselves in an office doing nothing, while their workmen stack boxes into a couch and go to sleep?
